What DNRS does well
Long track record, active community with improvement testimonials, clear theory on amygdala and limbic learning, well-produced materials. For many people whose case features somatic hypervigilance, DNRS has been transformative. Its "you are retraining your brain" framework is accessible and motivating.
Limitations we see (no attacks)
The course is relatively fixed — the dose doesn't automatically adapt to your day's state. For people with severe PEM, keeping DNRS rhythm can be exhausting. There is no daily AI saying "today maybe not this". The "it's all brain" philosophy can lead some to feel guilty if they don't improve. The price is reasonable for a complete program, but remains a barrier for many.
When to choose one or the other
Both are legitimate. The choice depends on your case, your cognitive energy available, and how you prefer to learn.
Choose Let's Shine if
You want adaptive daily companionship · you need strict PEM-awareness · you have confirmed POTS and need explicit adaptations · you value accessible pricing · you need Spanish from day one · you value strong technical privacy (E2E encryption).
Choose: DNRS
You prefer a structured video course · you can hold a military daily routine · you're motivated by an active patient community · your case fits the classic limbic model well · English isn't a barrier · price isn't a problem.
